Yea, I believe so. My brother had one, but hated being dependent upon a machine that required the batteries to be charged every 17 hours. He ended up getting hospital pneumonia and went on a ventilator, but his organs shut down and he passed away Nov. 18 after having CHF for 18 years. He had been on a pacemaker and defibrillator until the end of October when he had heart valve surgery.
