Has anyone with a pacemaker or mechanical valve had any experience with cardiac side effects from thyroid medication? I had been feeling pretty good. Was Sleeping through the night and the beating I notice from my valve had even been calmer. Still there but more just like a ticking. I wish I had answers for you. I do have a thyroid story though. 2 months after my bypass I had to do a fasting blood test. My results had a high level on my THS. So the doc sent me a prescription for lowering my THS. I was hesitant to take this med as my research showed it was not to be taken with beda blockers which Im taking . My research also told me that thyroid test should not be taken when fasting. So I told the doc and had a new test ordered. Well guess what... my THS was in range and didn't need the mess after all. So I think you need t ok always question the meds and understand them before you start taking them.
