Past Cardiac Medical Records?????
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Just got back from my doctor regarding my past medical records from my past cardiologist in Indiana. There are so many discrepancies in my medical records that are serious. It looks like my old cardiologist has dictated someone else's chart on my chart
1. He talked about my sister and her serious heart conditions relating to me. I have NO sister, never had!! Just a brother who he never met
2. He said he talked to my brother and aunt regarding my heart Cath. He said that they said things that… read more

( Just reread this and it's kind of long, sorry)
It sounds like you are going to get some things straightened out. Trusting your Dr. is SO important. When I had my heart surgery I was referred to the first surgeon I was not impressed. My family was with me and we left that consult and I said, " There is no way he's touching me". He would not listen to me at all, he was in rush. It was we will do this and that. No questions asked. No water was he opening my chest and holding my heart in his hands. Did some more research and found one who came in looked at my chart, asked me some questions! I had a comforting conversation with him. My wife was involved with the whole process. He said you are a very sick guy but here's what we can do. So much explanation. I was so relaxed with him and his PA's. My experience was long but went so well. I was in the hospital for a week before my surgery for what he called a "tune up". Several of my other organs had taken a real beating. He said we want to make sure your ready. Right now honestly you probably wouldn't survive the surgery. He was so good with the way he was talking about the seriousiousness. Just at ease. Long story short I went in for my tuneup on a Monday. Had my surgery the next Monday and went home on Tylenol the next Sunday. Find the guy who can put you at ease and explain things to you. I don't care if people think your too picky, it's your illness and you should feel as conformable as you can.

wow but it happens that is why in Georgia we have access to every record from any doctor ...I keep on top of them all and since I was a nurse they hate that ...lol...if I see they are doing their job I find one that is ...the surgery I have Wednesday is 2nd opinion ...and I have seen 4 different cardiologists ...and they all know me personally ...lol 🀣 well good luck but he definitely put another notes in your chart ...send him a message asap and point out every single discrepancy in the chart ...he is in my opinion a whack ...

Lose that bum cardiologist. Get your medical records updated and correct! Your PCP has the right idea to get you with a new cardiologist!

My doctor here wanted me to get a second opinion at Mayo, so I did and nothing changed. That was at the end of June, not sure when they will do another echo.
