Detroit, MI

I’ve been doing a bit of soul searching & research deciding if I should get an ICD. Since I am at high risk of sudden cardiac death. I have finally decided to go through with it because my doctor keeps telling me I need it and not having it is really starting to cause me a huge deal of anxiety. Anyone have any thoughts?

Tbh I think its a huge waste of money… and can cause even more anxiety half of the “life saving” shocks administered aren’t even life saving there what is called “inappropriate”… read more

I had an ICD implant on 12/10/21. I really didn’t have a lot of time to think about it. My EF is 24.

I had one implanted 6 months ago it lifted so much mental weight off of me. My recovery was fairly quick in it 5a home by 4p in a week or so the soreness in my arm went away. I would do it over again in a second. Good luck

It is your decision and only your's! It's hard i know. I'm not sure what a ICD is, but when it comes to making such important decision about your own self it can be so difficult ! All i can say is pray about it and let God direct your path.
