I have been told over and over this is not uncommon. Funny thing is i felt fantastic for the first couple months following surgery. This issue has only crept up on me the past month. I can fall asleep but don’t sleep for long. I’ve tried multiple things - Magnesium, Zquil, prescribed Xanex, meditation, etc. I’ve returned to work full-time so had to end Cariac Rehab program. They told me I made great progress and it felt really good. Now I can’t find the energy to exercise and I want to so badly… read more

Are you on any meds? If do have you asked your doctor about the over the counter things you are taking? It could be a reaction from like too much potassium or magnesium etc. I was on a blood pressure medicine and I didn't need it, when they took me off I felt really good. That could be it too, have your doctor go over your medicine. You will go through changes, your whole body is healing but you have to be in charge of your recovery. The doctor doesn't know unless you tell them, like if you are taking over the counter meds etc. Be patient with yourself and let your body heal. Good luck and God Bless!

I listen to long winded YouTube talks... I'm out like a light in no time..... I walk 10,000 plus steps every day in exercise mode..not daily total steps...... Just start out slow with low count.. no jogging...
Focus on the walk only...the key is you continue doing heart rehab after it's done... My heart tech...told me 90% stop...
With walking I don't get stressed thinking I should jog or run...swim or go to the gym... yet I am continuing with my heart rehab... With counting steps...I don't have to measure... But glance at my wrist now and then... I have completed millions of steps and thousands of miles... 11,100 steps today... So walk 1000 steps. 500 out 500 back.... 10 minutes....
Check your diet too... I am mostly Vegan low carb... My EF is currently 20% heart failure.. yet I am super strong and flexible... Just from walking age 65... Dr Esselsten and Dr Joel Fuhrman...

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I know how you feel. I'm 170 days out post heart transplant. Started back to work part-time a week ago. Going pretty good but I'm tired a lot. I push through it and try to walk a mile or so a day. I know it's going to take a year or better to be back to 100 percent. But I'm doing the best I can for now. It's been a long two years. I had an LVAD for the first two years. Then my match come for transplant. Have a lot to be thankful for this year. Just try to exercise regularly and do the best you can. Mediecne can't fix everything you just have to do what you can to make yourself feel good. That's all I do along with all the meds I'm on seems to be working.

I did all the rehab and went back to work and I was so tired all the time and ended up going on disability because I just couldn’t do it anymore. I used to work 70 to 80 hrs a week before cabgx5 I also could never sit still and now barely go out. Because of back surgeries it’s hard to exercise
I hear many people however who feel amazing. It may just take time. Don’t give up

Vinney it could possibly be that your doing to much exercise. Need to exercise but need to slowly work up to where you want to be. If I do to much I don't don't anything the next day cuz I'm to tired. So I walk half mile a day twice. Sometimes it's to much.
