It will go stop as the healing goes on. Welcome to the club. I had mine in 2010, the only challenge I have is lack of feeling on one side of my chest.

Just be prepared that depression my be a side effect of the surgery.

My husband still has problems 20 years later when he sneezes!

Each person is different. The pillow helps. It seems once the chest heals from the surgery, it will go.

I never had it, so I'm no help, mine was in early 90's and I didn't get depressed, as I went back to work after my 2nd, week got bored

Someone told me recovery can take a year and a half. I kept a travel pillow handy to brace myself when coughing or sneezing.
