I was diagnosed with CHF and cardiomyopathy a little under 2 years ago. I received my ICD/Pacemaker shortly thereafter. I still have extreme difficulty sleeping through the night and find myself out of breath just walking across the room. My heart rate still vacillates between 46-165 daily. first you have to have a dr that will listen....i believe all of us have the problem with sleeping...and I am thinking your ef is quite low becuse of the symptoms of not being able to breath and yes it is probably you new norm as with all of us....and do you take lasix for fluid retetion? and never never feel defeated hugs to you

if you are in CHF you are going to be short of breath..i have Right sided heart failure ( among other issues )and i get very SOB also...i have no problem sleeping...actually there are days that's all i want to do ! lol Hope you get your answers ! Make your doctor listen to you...really listen !!
