I found out about ATTR amyloidosis quite by accident...and ad on Facebook of all places. Anyway, I have classic symptoms and co-symptoms. My cardiologist told me to talk to my Primary Care physician about a blood test. He said there is a genetic test for it (I understand there is a genetic marker for it among African American men only). He put in a referral for the blood test and I've heard nothing since then
