I don't take Cardizem, but some of my meds cause constipation. Sometimes it's right away, and at other times it is on and off. I do know if I don't drink enough water or fluids like tea or coffee, I get more constipated. Taking Miralax when I am constipated, and sometimes it takes two or three days for it to help. The only good thing is Miralax tastes just like water, and it doesn't give you diarrhea.
Hope this helps. Have a great day.
