I have an ascending aortic aneurysm(4.5 cm), 3 leaky heart valves. My heart dr says not to worry, will continue to monitor. I have to have a cardiac mri every year. I'm on a low-fat, low-sodium diet. I'm 58 years old. I follow it pretty close, occasionally I go over a little, but as an average, I follow it really close. I also have severe sleep apnea, had several studies, tied the c-pap and in-app, both with mouth piece, that didn't work, full face mask, that didn't work either. Also had… read more

You could drink yourself stupid and pass out only now you need to do it with Ovaltine. Actually I exercise or walk before I go to sleep. This seems to help some as does having a warm drink like tea or milk.

Im starting to see a holistic Doctor. The testing was with a computer program that send waves through your body to detect stress points through different organs. Kind of like acupuncture points, this doctor can see how well each part of your body functions. It is definitely an alternative medicine practice and right now Im giving it a try even though it is pricey. But if the natural herbal remedies work, Im giving it a try before I become a guinea pig to some young cardiologist, endocrinologist and GP who is spending most of her time with botox these days. The thyroid is now happy, the heart is coming around, the kidney is being stubborn, but the 70 year old ovaries are happy. I still regularly seeing the specialists but not telling them that I have given up some of the meds prescribed. They are just happy that there are positive results that they think they are fixing. Its not about eliminating every drug...just finding something that is working more efficiently.with no side effects

Is your question about the apnea? It sounds like you are doing what you can. Make sure you are not having acid reflux that is disturbing your sleep.
