I had a aortic valve replaced 4 months ago...open heart surgery. I am 4 mths post surgery. I am slowing improving. Yes open heart hurts a lot. Maybe your dr. Is doing less intrusive surgery. Be patient with yourself and kind.

I had tricuspid replaced & mitral repaired. I feel it was a fairly easy surgery; for me anyway. That was 9 yrs ago and although the tricuspid is very leaky again I am doing good. You will too.
