Do Any Of You Still Have Shortness Of Breath Despite Meds?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been on diuretics, heart betas, blood pressure meds, but I still have shortness of breath when I walk more than 50 feet.

Some of the meds that I take list shortness of breathe as a side effect. I would rather have that than angina. Just a part of heart disease. Sometimes you just have to slow down. I get on the treadmill to increase stamina.

Every week I get winded. I stop and sit until my breathing catches up, then I go back to what I was doing. I avoid cold air, and steam. Other than that, live. Get up and do. Stay upright as much as possible. Walk as much as you can, and push yourself.

My Doctor wants me to walk outside 30 minutes a day. But when I go to the grocery store I walk more because I am shopping.
