Do Any Of You Still Have Shortness Of Breath Despite Meds?

I have been on diuretics, heart betas, blood pressure meds, but I still have shortness of breath when I walk more than 50 feet.

Some of the meds that I take list shortness of breathe as a side effect. I would rather have that than angina. Just a part of heart disease. Sometimes you just have to slow down. I get on the treadmill to increase stamina.

I was put on Brilinta after having a heart attack- the dr said shortness of breath was a side effect - he put me on Xanax as the shortness of breath was giving me terrible anxiety- I still get it, but I’m able to handle it

Yes. I am more overweight now than ever in my life! Standing or walking any distance cause me to be short of breath and get real pain just above my waist on the left side!
