What Does It Mean If An Angina Attack Lasts For Several Hours?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm not on medication for angina. Scariest thing that I've been thru. Felt like hundreds of pounds sitting on my chest. This was my first incident with angina.

Go to AandE as soon as possible as you do need some help with that . You cannot diagnose yourself whilst you're in that kind of pain.

I am concerned about your chest feeling as if you had a massive weight on it. That sounds like an AF. Where your heart races away with the heartbeats per minute. I had an AF as they say and it was scary and very painful. I thought my time had come, they zapped me with the paddles after they sedated me. Luckily I was in hospital at the time. As I had said before don't try to diagnose yourself just go with the flow and take the meds they give you and do what they tell you. That's my best advice to you.

I'm going to see my Cardio tomorrow. Hate the thought of being on another pill.

That would be wonderful. I had worked for the department of health for a while and they cancelled our insurance last Dec.31, so I have been without for a little while. Any policies to purchase are so expensive and are useless.
