Angioplasty And Stents

How long to the stents last? Do they ever colapse...and if they do what happens?

I now have 34 stents over a 21year period all in my chest. If they clog up they reopen them. Stay healthy. God bless all.

How long a stent opened vessel lasts depends on the patient. I've had one stent completely block in just 9 months, but another stent was placed to help reopen the vessel. that was 8 yrs ago & it worked out ok for a while, but I had 5 artery bypass chest crack last yr to replumb the heart. Hoping for many more yrs left on my journey.
