Dr. Steven Kang is the director of cardiac electrophysiology at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and Alameda Health System in Oakland, California. He is an expert in the diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias, with a special focus on atrial fibrillation ablation and left atrial appendage closure using the Watchman device.

Dr. Kang has received specialized formal training in the use of catheter ablation to treat arrhythmia, including atrial fibrillation, as well as in the implantation of special pacemakers and defibrillators to treat heart failure.
