AsaeliNgahe, a catherization (unless specifically to fix something...like installing a stent) does not have any effect on your symptoms. Most all of my catherizations have been for diagnostic purposes. I have had two that were to fix something(SVT and to diagnose AFIB). After those two, yes, I did feel better. Good luck. God Bless! (The AFIB was not repaired by the catherization...a cardio conversion did that.)

Hi there, AsaeliNgahe,
After my catherization, I still had fatigue and still do after 2.5 years. I do have my appetite. I am no longer nauseated. Recovery is different from person to person. Praying everything works out for your Good. Have a Good night!

After a cardiac catheterization, many people do notice improvements in their symptoms over time, but recovery varies from person to person. Fatigue is very common with heart disease and can have several contributing factors.
Some reasons fatigue may linger include:
- The heart's reduced ability to pump blood efficiently to muscles and limbs
- Medications like beta-blockers, which can cause tiredness and "brain fog"
- The recovery process itself after a procedure As for nausea and appetite, these can sometimes be side effects of heart medications or simply part of recovery. They often improve as the body heals, but it's worth tracking how long they last.
The most important step is to talk openly with the doctor about what to expect after the procedure, including a realistic recovery timeline. If fatigue, nausea, or poor appetite persist or worsen, that's definitely worth flagging with the care team right away.
Every recovery journey is different β being patient with the body while staying in close contact with the healthcare provider is key.
