I agree with Gary23 and IVEYROSE. 71 is low. My Freesttyle Libre2 beeps at me if I hit 69 because it's low. Last night it woke me 3 times to get it above 70 and one time it was 53 - very scary, a person could go into a coma if it's too low. It's best if we can average below 150 and that puts us at an A1c of 7. People without diabetes run in the 6s or less. My doc is thrilled when I'm 7. Best wishes to everyone!
Gwen, I'm with the Heart Disease Team. 71 is pretty low. I would say eat a really good snack and if you continue to get readings like that talk with your doctor.
A blood sugar level of 71 after exercise is on the lower end and could potentially lead to lightheadedness, especially for someone with heart disease. It's good that you're having a snack now, as eating something with carbohydrates and protein after exercise can help stabilize your blood sugar levels.

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member, so happy the hour on the bike brought your blood sugar down. Great News! Thank you so much for sharing! We motivate each other.
Wow Gwen3, you are doing great! I'm very impressed. Congrats to you! I'll keep following your messages, it's encouraging to read.
Today I hit one hour of stationary bike, 6 miles and 300 calories. It brought my blood sugar down to 137 after being higher than 200. Reading your message made me fight for the 6 miles. Thank you! Sue581
