Funny the article did not mention anything about flavored water, as if it is still good as plain water or not. I don't drink a lot of plain water, but I drink the sh*t out of fruit water. Make fruit water at home too. I have an infusion cup, throw in fruit throw in water, let it sit for an hour then sip away.

I've been using Mio to enhance water as it has zero calories. I found a few flavors that I like adding into the daily 40 ounces of water I'm drinking. I tend to switch off of the water to cold brew black tea or cold brew herbal tea for a nice change of pace.
