MsB,
My conditions are progressive and I'm a listed transplant candidate that my cardiologist tells to stay compliant. It has taken 14 years for me to truly feel the effects. My doctors are telling me I really need to slow down doesn't help. My syncope episodes have come to the front line and just standing can make me fall back into the chair. Take care my friend.
Rose6, yes I can relate, it's been 5 years since I had an artery dissection from stress and worry, that resulted in surgery and lower EF (HF). From no meds previously to 3 sometimes 4 a day. Right after my sudden heart issues happened I was depressed, lonely feeling, sad, etc, asking why me, but I came to accept my new normal. I still think sometimes of my healthy days, but try to snap back to my now. I continue to thank God for keeping me these days and years and I try to enjoy each day I am Blessed with. Stress and worries caused my artery dissection, so I try hard to not get stressed out as before, so Rose try to not worry and live and enjoy each day for stress do kills. ππ
My heart problems are heart failure, cardiomyapathy, and angina
.on meds n
But worry about another heart attack.are you folks afraid? Heart failure is so scary to me.
Hello Robin, how have you been? Yes my heart left lower ventricle is not moving after my artery dissection and surgery and lower EF (HF) my EF has went up some but my heart has enlarged. I don't know if it's thin or thick. I am having an echo in April and should know more
I must go lighter on salt and other harmful foods, my heart enlargement was mild last year on echo, but CT said moderate enlargement, I know heart issues is progressive, Praying that echo says mild again, but it is what it is.π. Take Care Robin.
It can also be genetic. When hubby did his neuromuscular genetic testing, it came back markers for cardiomyopathy. His father and likely his brothers too. His dad served in many areas of Agent Orange etc. Dad's death besides seizures was CHF. No meds he was on were anything for the CHF. Of all the things that could have killed him overseas, CHF did it instead.
In hubs case, the reports seem to change and vary when it comes to whether dilated, enlarged or other diagnosis. It could be you are carrying more fluid.
