I have ckd stage 3b, my cardiologist said that when my heart is weak, it affects my kidney, as my heart gets stronger, my kidney will improve. He's not prescribing any medication. My primary doctor doesn't seem to be concerned either, but I am concerned.
I appreciate your feedback, take care.

Yes Goldengal,
Drinking lots of water is common for
kidney disease. My restriction is 2 liters a day. It is working great for me. I started out with severe breathing problems, due to my heart failure. I have used inhalers, nebulizer, advair diskus. I do not use most of these items unless absolutely necessary anymore. Now my breathing is clear, my heart has progress to a normal function and my kidneys are now improving. I believe the most important thing that helped me was my diet activity/ exercising and working on staying positive. Also taking my meds on schedule. I did experience a host of side effects at first, but in time, I was able to move past some of those inconveniences. I hope you are able to find the balance you are looking for to feel your best.
I wish you all much success ๐Ÿ’–

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member,
Once of the first things I learned is everything ask your cardiologist about a medication if you trust him. Yes they are pushing Entresto as the miracle drugs but my cardiologist said it is the worse for patients with a weak heart. He said a medication should assist weak muscles and it over works them to improve EF. Then it is a combination of two medications I've had advise reactions to. For some reason the pharmaceutical company thinks that if you combination drugs that most people can't take that it will make it effective. None of us are the same nor do we tolerate the same things. I have a full typed page of allergies to medication that most people can take as well as adhesive on tape. To regular and dissolving stitches. We can not ask for meds according to what other take as we don't have the same genetic make-up. We don't have the same genetic make-up within a family and because one member can take something doesn't mean the others can. Please be careful what you ask your cardiologist or you may be looking for a new one.

Hi Goldengal,
I started juicing, and it has been one of the best healthy options, I have ever made. I do have a nutritionist who monitors my progress. My salt intake is 1000 mg a day. My water intake daily is 2 liters. I read all labels before eating. The most important liquid in my life now is water, no soda and no sweet drinks. (Only natural fruits & veggies that I am juicing) I love cooking my own food. My Ejection Fraction started at 10%, now 55%. (What a blessing)
It's been a slow process, but just fast enough to help me get back on my feet and live again.
