Breathe, if you needed it sooner, it would have happened. The Lord be with you.
@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member So sorry to hear of your anguish and distress. I am prone to bouts of health anxiety at times so I know how awfully challenging it can be to push out the emotional and enable the resumption of rationale thought processes. The experience of getting seen sooner, diagnosed and referred for further evaluation/treatment likely exacerbated or set off alarm bells in your head. Even though your under duress you’re showing good instincts by reaching out to this group as the perspectives and experiences of others can help to assuage fears. For what it’s worth my thought is that it was so positive that you were able to be seen sooner and referred to the proper sub specialists who have the expertise to care for you. From what I know the Aortic valve is one of the simplest and easiest of valves to treat. You are fortunate because the vascular physicians have lots of experience with this valve and have perfected a procedure called TAVR which stands for transcatheter aortic valve replacement; a minimally invasive way to treat aortic stenosis if should you need it. We have a group on here specifically for those with valve issues and I’m sure other’s with greater knowledge and personal experience with aortic stenosis will respond. Sending a big comfort hug.
So I got my echo sooner, Feb 14. I am being referred to a vascular team for arotic stenosis. I'm nervous... I suffer from anxiety and have since a child. They said I am actually hearing my murmur in my ear. Makes it very hard to sleep and even think.
Thank you
Yes, thank you. I have an echo appt. But not until Feb. 24. My anxiety is really getting to me. I'm scared.
