I have underwire bras. Should I purchase a soft front closure bra to wear after my pacemaker? Thanks for your advice!

I am
On my 5th pacemaker. It sounds like your dr is putting it the breast pocket.
My suggestion : no bra until
You are healed from the surgey.
Then if you can a sports bra .
I havent worn an underwire since i had my first one . Depending on where the pacemaker is and the wire, the bra could be very uncomfortable.
Good luck

My pacemaker lies directly under where my bra strap sits. There is no way I can take the pressure at the site, even though I have had it for a year. The site is also still slightly raised and tender. I have accepted the fact that I won’t wear a bra again. I di wear nipple covers. ❤️❤️❤️

I put one on the day I came home. A comfortable supportive one. No problems

Well Caryn Nobody mentioned a bra to me…and as is my habit I don’t wear one unless I’m leaving the house! But if I was wrong and didn’t get the memo by all means get a cheap sports bra that hooks in front!

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member Thanks for the bra suggestion! I did buy a few soft sports bras for the time being but I will look into your suggestion for after I heal. I have no intention of going back to an underwire! Good luck getting a new device. My pacemaker is MRI-compatible and I am really happy about that! Fingers crossed for a new MRI-compatible device for you too!
