Good advice for those who have never suffered from real depression. I’m a positive, happy person who knows I don’t, and can’t understand real depression. In a college discussion I asked “did we have psychological problems before we had psychologists.” Someone I respected asked if I would tell a seriously nearsighted person to buck up and look harder? Life has given me perspective, empathy and discretion. When I don’t understand, I listen. And count my blessings.

I’m with you Cliff. Never had clinical depression so guess I can’t relate although this cardiac diagnosis has been a real bummer!
