It all depends on the size of the dilation as well as as how rapidly or slowly it grows.I had a dilation of 4.3cm but it grew from 4.0 in less than a year. It was repaired surgically 4 years ago. I recently found out that I have another dilation.They can be monitored with echocardiograms / CAT scans. So no need to worry as long as you have them monitored. :-)

I’m just relieved that this has not been an issue for me! My Grandaddy had an abdominal aneurysm that had to be dealt with surgically but that is the extent of my knowledge until I watched Caryn’s Medical Monday Video! Thanks Caryn as always!🤩
