When I quit taking a statin--I feel back to normal. I have minimal artery plaque. I was wondering/reading/researching if there is any other medication I should be taking?. Thanks for the knowledge.

Thank you CalOrey!! You made my day. So many individuals take statins; therefore, I had bad feelings of myself thinking something was really wrong inside. Thank you for the reassurance!!! Have a great day!

Nah, as a health author for decades,I had to be my own advocate. I was put me on those nasty pills. My cholesterol isn't off the charts. Depression, muscle waste, and my glucose levels shot up to pre-diabetic! Enough. Got the book The Great Cholesterol Myth. Ch 8 The Statin Deception.

Statins put me--a healthy guru--in a wheelchair! As an author I couldn't write or do simple tasks--mush mind. I have worked with many docs who are anti-statins. I stopped. After stents, angio, a few heart meds? I am so back writing, got my writer brains, and working out. Got a clearance for everything. Statins can work for some but not all.

Thank you Karen!! I have been taking magnesium vitamin on my own along with Krill Oil vitamin. So, I might have a great check-up with my primary care doctor. I have NOT been to a cardiologist yet. Apparently my doctor doesn't think I need it yet!! LOL She has been prescribing statins since my Ldl is so high when she takes my blood lipid panel. Thank you again so very, very much.
