Because of that, I can't risk messing around with medication doses. "Medications have done all they can do and it is time to move on to more aggressive treatments"
What scares me (besides everything) is I spent the last 17 years caring for a… read more

Joi-yes, I recently started seeing a nephrologist. If I get a transplant, it will likely be heart and kidney from the same donor. My granddaughter is now 16! How time flies

Hi Shelle, Glad you’re feeling well although your doctor is recommending a heart transplant. I am learning about heart disease myself but somewhat knowledgeable about kidney failure. I am guessing your doctor wants the heart taken care of first as if needed dialysis could sustain your renal needs while you waited for a kidney transplant. Hope you are seeing a nephrologist as well as a cardiologist. By the way you have a really cute grandchild. I am a grandma too. I added you to my team. Hope that is ok with you.

Shelle, I too look at my grandson’s baby pictures and think the same thing. How did they become teenagers so fast. Where did the time go. My grandson’s are 16 and 14. Yikes!

Do you get cold extremities? Ive got 4 stents and an inplanted cardioverter difibulator. My EF is at 25% Im a disqualified cdl driver. Been busy looking for a job that will hire me with my limitations. Been to 4 interviews within the last few weeks, applied for disability in January, from the stories ive heard most people get rejected the first time they filed. Been trying to get unemployment, thats a red tape nightmare. Just got approved for foodstamps for the first time in a very long time. Just got my Medicaid approved. Also was another red tape nightmare. Was able to get started at my Local VA Clinic, they will be there to back me up on meds just incase something falls through with my Medicaid especially if i have to get a lower paying job. Anxiety is through the roof.
