Differing Opinions
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

So I have one cardiologist here on the East Coast telling me I have heart failure, and I had to see a cardiologist on the West Coast who tells me that I do not even have heart failure. Then, I have my PCP telling me that heart failure is not a diagnosis, only a symptom. What does one do with these differing opinions?

I would find a different cardiologist and bring your records to them to see what they would say. I have two cardiologists that say the same thing that I have congestive heart failure and that I have diabetes and high blood pressure and a congetial heart defect. I am glad that both of my doctors are in agreement. Or you can either take your records to the first cardiologist and show him the records from the other cardiologist.
