I had my defibrillator put in June of 2011. I have a little over a year left on the battery . Then they will replace it. The original placement was sore for about a week.
I am looking forward to a new one. The new ones are MRI a compatible. Mine isn’t . .

I was in the hospital I fainted driving the car not good nope, that Doctor freak me out, so bad, It was awful I felt too much and I was crying, but so much heart comes out from others. Having love and support means everything. I forget but i had a pacemaker for 10 years. God is very good the defibrillator came later and an lvad I didn't have that in long, I had an x ray this lady she was trip, she show me the wires in my body, she said I should frame it, I don't think so talk about funny sick all in one.. I can't have MRI's because of the wires they still in my body..Who knows what else lol

I had first one put in 2002, and replacements in 2005, 2013 and 2022. I was up and about in a day or so. Maybe just a little bit sore for a couple of days.
