Our heart valves help ensure that blood flows forward through the heart. However, when heart valves become leaky, blood may flow backward instead. National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) Consultant, Dr Yeo Khung Keong, explains the common symptoms of leaky heart valves, causes, and treatments available to patients. This is a somewhat older video but I liked the explanation that is doctor gives.

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member OMG, I am so glad that you are still here with us. Sometimes medications are the only way for some of us. I too have to manage my afib with medication because of my anatomy so I understand. Again, I am glad you are still here and are on the site, you help give perspective and inspiration to all of us. Hugs🤗
I'm considered very high risk for another open heart surgery. At the last one, my heart had grown to my breastbone and they accidentally cut into my heart before I was put on the blood bypass system. I bled out in like 10 seconds. Thank God that I'm still here.
So for now, they are trying to manage my conditions with medication.
Hi, Caryn thank you for sharing. I like it very much. Have a wonderful day today. Hugs
