Pulmonary Artery Pressure
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have left side heart failure grade 2. Recent echocardiogram shows high pressure in pulmonary artery. Has that happened to anyone? What was treatment? My doctor added a second blood pressure medication.

I am 44 years old with severe Pulmonary Artery Hypertension my pressures are 116mmgh. I have right side heart disease and PAH, it's been getting worse since 2022 of July. I literally had to up and move to receive better care from the advance cardiac surgeon down in Tampa from Jaxville. A regular hospital will not do u or anyone suffering from severe PAH any justice. (In my personal experience.) I laid in St.Vincent hospital for 3-4 days pretty much comatose due to the pressure in my lungs so powerful I barely knew who I was. They kept me stable for days not knowing what to do with me. The only way to know ur PAH pressures r in critical condition is by a special procedure by advance cardiac specialists &/or pulmonologist. A resident doctor can only do so much. The 5th day inn, my family signed me out against doctors orders only to rush me 3 hrs away to Largo medical. Within 48 hrs of being admitted I had ports put in my neck to relieve the pressures in my lungs. A little after the procedure my head fog was clearing up, i started to actually wake up not remembering the past few weeks or my stay in Jaxville hospital. I'm so thankful God protected me and woke me up another day. My advice is don't wait don't hesitate to seek proper care from the specialist u need. You r worth it! I want to stress the importance of the special care u have to have. All of you r in my prayers and I'm thankful for this group. 💜

Do not have that issue right now.
Maybe someone else can help you out.
Have a good day.
