Anyone On Repatha..is It Working For You?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am wondering if there are any side effects and if you are taking statins along with the repatha . I had a heart attack at 52 and a 100 percent blockage this year. My cholesteral is hereditary the statins are not working well to lower it. Any info or comments about repatha experience would be appreciated. Thank you. Angie R. Sudbury Ont.

I have been on Repatha for 2 years. I was on creator and Zetia before Repatha. My numbers were 80’s. They gave me Repatha an it dropped into upper 30’s

I had a triple bypass 10 years ago and like you my cholesterol is hereditary. I was on the maximum oral dose of crestor and ezetrol, however my cholesterol levels were not in the range where my cardiologist felt they should be. He has prescribed repatha and I have used the injector pen every two weeks for the past 6 weeks. I have not experienced any side effects and it has been easy to administer. I am still on crestor but no longer take ezetrol as it is contraindicated with repatha. I am not sure of its effectiveness as of yet as I go for my first bloodwork next week since I started this treatment. Ted C. Orillia

Thank your Ted for your reply. I have been hesitant to take another med but am going to take the first injection on Monday .MIne also is an injector pen. I am to take every 2 weeks. Good luck with your results. I will go for bloodwork in June to see if it's helping.
