Today, is one year since I learned I had Afib. I had no idea, he could have told me I was pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 76.......I learned 1 1/2 months ago, I am SSS, tachy/brady. Next Tuesday, I will have third cardioversion and placement of two lead pacemaker. It is outpatient as most things are now. I am on Eliquis , Losartan and amiodarone, 200 mg,1x day. I was told I will soon come off last drug in near future. I think I have read too much but how soon were you able to raise arm on side where pacemaker was placed This should be easy for me as this is my 9th surgery and I used to work in a hospital. Thanks for your sharing and being heart warriors.

Been thru all above. Tachy/Brady for over 2 years. On Amiodarone and Eliquis. First 2 cardio versions were successful. Then I had 3 within a month that failed. One week I had 2. Then a month later had 2 lead pacemaker. Changed my life! No more symptoms or meds! God bless and good luck! 😍😍

Thanks for above information. I have been on 200mg of Amiodarone to booster the cardioversion but it did not work. I will come off it after I get pacemaker. I am on Eliquis. Appreciate all the information on this site.

Please be careful of Amioderone. Be on it for the shortest period possible. It almost killed me.
