Well as you know I’m on Entresto and at my last doctors appointment my Ef was up and now they think it’s in the 50. We were just on vacation and I was walking 2 miles one day , rest the next and 3 miles the next, rest and then we had to come home

I'm on Entresto (among other things) and my EF went from a 29 to a 40. Of course I did watch my diet and exercise regularly. I hope it goes up even more. Good luck to you!

Hi RobertRivard,
So far I haven't seen and one who's been taking it for 4 years . The commercials give it a big build up and it does raise your EF veery quickly and in the process over works the heart muscles. And as quickly as your EF goes up it drops equally as fast but your heart muscles are weaken to the point that you can't be given a different type of HF medication. I take carvedilol (coreg) and it is the number one heart failure meditation. Entresto tells you that in their write up. Once you have HF the condition is for life, we take the medications to slow down its process but the condition is for life. The longer you take the medications the longer your longevity.
I'm not trying to scare anyone but these conditions are for life. This is were being compliant with diet, medications, and exercise is very important. If the medications aren't working or making you sick call your cardiologist office and leave a detailed message. Trust me you will get a returned call within 24-48 hours.
Take care,
Robin

Was on Entresto plus 3 other cardiac meds but my blood pressure dropped very low and Entresto was the drug my cardiologist discontinued.
