Rosuvastatin
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just had my annual and my cholesterol was elevated. Dr prescribed the above statin I'm new to this, is anyone familiar with this. Will be talking to her before I start taking it. I have mixed feelings about adding another drug. Any feedback is welcomed. Will talk about a change to my diet for about a month to try and lower it before taking new medication.
Have a goodnight. Can't wait to hear from the group.

Niacin is cheap. Where statins and repatha especially repatha is very expensive. They try to get off cheap .

To be honest I refuse to take niacin . It's the old time remedy . Let me know if it's flush free . I take Repatha injection 2x MO. But only will they approve if statins are to much for you. Such as muscle pain. I was up to 80 MG statin . Regapatha has been a wonder drug for me. Puts it all where it needs to be and prevents heart attacks . The Niacin may work for you give it a try .
