@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member - I gym almost everyday and lead a very active and healthy life style with an ICD. I was freaked out by the thought of a ICD with leads to connected to my heart as well. Its honestly not as bad as you think. Both ICD and S-ICD delivery shocks. See link below for more info:

I was told my heart did not develop properly that is why mine is now 27% I'm 64 weigh 104 go to the gym work on a vegetable farm which is intense. I had no symptoms a normal Dr visit showed a weird EKG. Don't want an implant want a S-ICD No leads connected to heart - that's my goal I'll go anywhere to get one - no giving up my active lifestyle

I'm assuming you are referring to ejection fraction? Mine is at 32%, had ICD op 4 months ago. Had to make some changes/adjustements to how I sleep, but in general i've been much better since.

My infraction is at 27%
Not good yet I have no symptoms
Found during routine exam
Looking into an s-icd no need for leads attached to heart hope it's an option for me

It is in all forms,a heat attacknor blood clots i have had two heart attacks but only knew of one.
