AtriClip Do I Need Eliquis?

I had AtriClip placed with mitral valve repair 3 years ago. I have went into Afib 3 times in those 3 years.
Somehow it was overlooked that I had AtriClip and was put on Eliquis. I don't want to be on Eliquis any longer. Cardiologist( not the same one with mitral valve repair) says I need a TEE procedure before he takes me off med to ensure AtriClip is in place.
I need advice.

I took Eliquis when had leg wounds, on IV antibiotics in nursing home. Sent home with some till ran out. I would go to appointments and kept hearing the name when looking in computer at my record. I would tell em not on no more that was when i was in bed a lot.

I have the Kardia app and monitor. I also can tell that my heart rate is up and I feel different
