Chad, Lasix is Furosemide! Thought you should know!

Chad! I stay worried ‘bout ya bruddah! (Pidgin spoken widely here in Hawaii) I am so worried about you. Put a fire under your cardiologist’s butt and get that stress test done right away! I hate to say it you may have to cut the intake of your water down to a liter a day. I hate that most of all because I am a big water drinker. At least until you get to CHF under control. I had to go in the hospital for IV Lasix, reduce liquid intake and a bunch of test to get my CHF in control. I was in for about a week. They talked me in the hospital a lot about what to do with CHF. I have stage 3 CKD and when I start retaining fluid I’m told to take a Lasix because the fluid is likely around my heart also and since I have CHF too they don’t want any stress on my heart either. So far the kidneys have not gotten any worse. There are different views on this issue. Hope you’re feeling better soon Chad. I know you have been through a lot recently.
