Angina Pain Level
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

It’s hard for me to tell if my ongoing heat pain is “normal” or if it’s my angina in need of attention. My usual pain during normal activity is at about a 3. I take a nitroglycerin pill if it’s above a 5. Does this sound normal for a diagnosed heart disease condition? Appreciate feedback. Thanks.

I did and he prescribed the nitroglycerin. However, I was told not abuse taking it so I temper when and how often to take it. I definitely feel discomfort in my heart most of time during normal daily activity. I’m curious if others are having the same experience.

You should let your doctor know. Medicines or treatments may make that better.
