My cardiologist would like me to get an ICD implant but I have been too scared and indecisive. Now it appears I am a candidate for a CRTD implant which in addition to the defibrilator will improve my heart function and I'll feel better. I'm planning to give him the go ahead Monday. I was wondering if anyone here who has had this surgery can tell me what your recovery was like and if you regret getting one? Thank you.
The doctor who put my pacmaker in only put in one lead did not put in the second lead. My new doctor wants to put the second lead in, and if needed put a defibrilator later. I am afraid of this.
I had mine implanted in May of 2022 and feel much better! It only took a few days for me to feel well enough to go to the beach! Just kept a cold pack on it and took Ultram when I needed it!π
