Medications After TAVR
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had the TAVR procedure in April, 2020. Everything is going well, but seasonal allergies due to pollens are a problem for me. I was taking Sudafed for relief until my cardiologist told me that I shouldn't take that particular drug because of the prosthetic valve, but I could take other allergy meds. I am wondering if others have been told to avoid certain medications after TAVR. They didn't mention anything in my after care instructions, so I was surprised when I learned about Sudafed.
