Not sure. If your on blood thinners I wouldn't think you would have blood clots. Unless the blood thinner med needs to be a little bit stronger dose. I'm on blood thinners and I get checked every week or two depending on what it is.

I would respectfully seek a new cardiologist, if only for second opinions ??

Everything I've ever seen or heard that if you have blood clots they won't do any surgery until there gone. I know there's different kinds of blood thinners I'm on cumidin so I get checked like I said every week or two. Do have to watch some of the things I eat. Which isn't to bad to do. Maybe you need a different blood thinner.
