Have you checked into a pacemaker? I was in continual afib and very short of breath. I was taking Amiodarone. Since pacemaker, no more afib, no shortness of breath, heart rate always 70 and no Amiodarone. ❤️❤️

I was on amio for several years with blood workups for AFIB. Cardiologist prescribed. Suddenly amio stopped controlling afib. Started eliquis and considering ablation. FYI my primary care dr hated that I took amio so long.

I took amiodarone for about a year for a fib after being converted with a. Drip in hospital. However suddenly when back into afib and stopped taking. Had blood test every 6 most or so because drug can cause problems. I take BP medicine and drugs to regulate heart beat and eliquis blood thinner. I'm considered chronic afib and it is left up to me if I want it converted with ablation or possibly a drug try with hospital stay of 3 days to see if works. Covid caused me to put aside for a while.

I was on amioradone for a year and almost died from pneumonia which is a side affect. Horrible drug and most docs try to avoid using it.
