My Ejection Fraction Has Decreased Instead Of Increasing. I Was Recently Diagnosed With Mitrovalve Regurgitation?

I am considered high risk so I have to have a consult before the valve is repaired. I am scared to death. Should I be scared?

I think it's normal to feel scared. I was too. Had the surgery and everything turned out great. Thank God. Have a talk with your surgeon, ask questions. Your fears should be reduced. I will pray that all goes well.

I was terrified before my consult with the cardiac surgeon. I asked alot of questions, I made a list while waiting to see the surgeon. My mitral valve was definitely leaking bad! The only item that we were having issues with after him answering all of my questions, was the type of surgery. We decided on the less invasive approach. I didn't get the zipper, they went in under my right breast.
