Chemical Stress Test.
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello Heart team. I had another chemical stress for indigestion symptoms, the test says scars from a previous MI (sudden coronary dissection) that had in 2019, it also says without appreciable Ischemia. I'm thinking no blockage., I have a follow up soon, a cardiologist was there but not doing testing, vso if it was very bad, he would have visited them. My question is does anyone have scarring from previous MI (attack) that is large scarring? I read sometimes scarring can have negative effects on… read more

87 Yrs Old Could I Be A Candidate For LVAD Or Stem Cells
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

My cardiologist says there is nothing more they can do. But he won’t tell me what the problem is. I went to Cleveland Clinic and they did an EKG An Echo, and a left heart cath. They didn’t tell me what was wrong they just said go home. M y local cardiologist wanted to confirm what Cleveland said and did another Echo. They evidently don’t trus Cleveland. They said I have a very bad heart. EF 30 to40%. I want to exercise but rehab says I can’t because of my heart condition. I want to exerciseread more

Does Anyone Get Different Answers From Different Cardiologis
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

my cardiologist walked in and we know it’s not your heart. The PA who has been in cardiology walked in 2 days later and said you have a really bad heart. I’ve ask both of them what really bad means they say the same thing. Even Cleveland Clinic after a Catherization didn’t talk to me but told my wife there is no change from 3years ago and just go home. I like to be told the truth no matter how bad or good it is

Can Having Multiple Shocks From Defibrillator Affect A Person's Memory Or Concentration After A Heart Attack?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

During my heart attack, my heart stopped nine times. A defibrillator was used each time to get it started again. I'm close to five months from the time of my heart attack. I find I sometimes I have a hard time concentrating, can't quite find the words I'm looking for, and I'm forgetful. I'm wondering if the shocks may be the cause of this, if so, is it temporary? If it's not the cause...I have some more searching to do.

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member

I know this may sound outrageous, but on May 18th 2013, i had my defibrillator fire off 22 times within 1 1/2 hours! I had to be air lifted to the nearest hospital that had the equipment to turn it… read more

ICD Question
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had an ICD placed in 2020 because of lower ejection fraction (HF) is was 15 percent, now 40 still low. I was wondering has someone ever had their ICD removed if their condition improved, I know normal EF is in the 50's and 60's, but can decrease again so an ICD can be permanent. I forgot to ask my cardiologist have some ICD been removed. I know they removed them if you are in hospice or any situation like that. I just wish they were sometimes temporary. Take Care all.
