I agree I have hardly any faith in the medical system as a whole so for sure research myself a lot
Does anyone else out there have the On-X mechanical heart valve specifically? If so I would love to hear about your experience with it. I am still getting used to mine and I have had it 2 years now. I know they mentioned I will notice the ticking. The way I constantly notice every beat is still bothersome to me though and I don't really get any answers as to what exactly most other people experience with one since I don't really know anyone with one.

Does heart disease get harder to live with as you get older. I'm only 33 years old. Just thinking how difficult it maybe in 10 years or so.

I have been on diuretics, heart betas, blood pressure meds, but I still have shortness of breath when I walk more than 50 feet.
Walking isn't as easy as it used to be ...not sure why doctor doesn't seem to know fully either....I can ride a bike all day no problem.
