Based on what I just read from you I believe that I can calculate your target heart rate while exercising. 220 minus age 58 = 162 for your maximum heart rate. You should exercise at 60 to 70% of 162 which comes out to 97 to 113. But then we have to adjust that number by what your pulse was before beta blockers to what your pulse is now on beta blockers. So that's 75 minus 60 = 15. So (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators).. So while exercising you should aim to keep your heart rate at 82 to 98 beats per minute.

Debra Weber that's correct but you should exercise at 60 to 70% of 162. So your target exercise rate is 97 to 113. If your on a beta blocker reduce those numbers by the difference of what your pulse was before beta blockers to what your pulse is now on beta blockers. For me that difference is about 10 beats per minute. So just using 10 bpm as an example your exercise target heart rate would be 87 to 103.
