Has Anyone Had Cardiac Ablation Due To PVCs?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a consultation for this in the near future. I would like to know what to expect, in particular whether this procedure will allow for general anesthesia or conscious sedation.

When you consult with the doctor Thats What it means To discuss his or her Intent and to "go over the procedures and what You should expect Normal VS Non Normal outcomes etc Its best YOU find out from they who would be doing your procedure and how as to listen TO Anyone online ANd trust its anything at all Like they're Hangnail retraction surgery I had an Ablation But not for PVC's rather Afib. I consulted with My doctor prior to and decided That My issue was Bad enough leaving me useless for the most part , I also spoke with MY Cardio Thoracic Surgeon who watches My Aortic repair and has done Transplants and he frankly said Its a simple Procedure, but One needs to be careful as it leaves Scar tissue, so its not something you go and do Over and over and over etc ... I based upon professional Opinion of BOTH of them (old school and new school) who are aware of MY situation and so forth and I chose to do my procedure It was great for a couple years before it began again currently we have changed my medications and its settled back down... There are still options, in my situation so Its Important that when You consult you ask him what is going to happen what is the Likelyhood That the results will be less then Expected and if the outcome were poorer then expected Then what? Be Prepared when you go for the consult Take a Notebook and write the story out Make him tell you what to expect.....

I did not mention That In My case My situation I was asleep For the entire procedure, I've been Put under Numerous Times for My "Stand alone" and "other" procedural Cardioversions, In My AFIB Case he knew and explained that generally speaking MY Procedure might take an extended time period, I was in Hospital relatively early but wasnt Taken into surgery till a tad Later then expected around 9 or 9:15 am and As it was I was wheeled into My Room around 10:15 pm But that was just the beginning of a Horror show I wont get into at this point ... 😠
