Have a severely leaking Mitral valve and need a single bypass also.
I haven't had surgery but have had 3 stents.
I just wanted to wish you the best and a healthy recovery!
I had a Quadruple by-pass 2 years ago. I still have pain around the surgery site when I move the wrong way, I pick things up, lift my arms and when I wear a bra.
It does eventually go away. The numbness before the nerves repaired themselves is what bothered me most.
Had heart attack in 2017 and open heart surgery in 2018. Hea been in heart failure since.
The surgery will be: aortic valve replacement, mitral valve replacement or repair, a maze procedure with closing the left atrial appendage.
I have been diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis. I also have a bicuspid aorta instead of tricuspid. Tomorrow I am having open heart surgery to replace the valve. I am concer about what us going to happen after the surgery and how long it will take before I feel better. Wish me luck
I think you must have had your surgery yesterday. When you feel like it, let us know how it went.
