My 21yo Son Is Getting An ICD Next Week...
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have, or is anyone, a young adult with an ICD? He has TOF, PPH, COMPLETE AV BLOCK, and has had a pacemaker since 8mo (with several upgrades). Adding the new system with the defib is very scary for both him and me! We also just found out that he has DAA (Double Aortic Arch w/Tracheal Compression) - so that's the next surgery! I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that this is going to turn out OK! Any info or expereriences would be welcome.
