Does Anyone Have A Hypertrophic Left Ventricle? How Are You Being Treated For It?

I may be waiting 5 months to see a Cardiologist, but I think they are hoping I will die before then, so that they do NOT have to treat me.

Canadian health care. I was not considered urgent enough, so was down on the list. But my Endocrinologist made a second call amd got me in within 2 weeks. I have been undergoing heart testing this month, and I just have
1 left to go. The Cardiologist would not give me any medication until all the results are in. I get those on May 8th. Better than waiting until July! But if I have worse symptoms before then, I will go to the Emergency Department.

I was diagnosed with left ventricular hypertrophy approx two months ago. I have seen my cardiologist once. He ran a bunch of tests which showed nothing. He is doing an echocardiogram in three weeks. Will see him a week after to review the results. So far no treatment has been advanced. I have quite a few co-morbid conditions which makes everything a little more complicated. I am anxious to hear what he will say. I will write again when I have some answers.

What country or City makes you wait for Cardiac Care? Any hospital in NYC would admit you, and stabilize your meds at the least. And discuss future care options.
